What we liked
- + Larger 90 by 90 degree Tractrix horn is aimed at crisper, clearer dialogue, which is the main job of a center channel.
- + 1-inch titanium Linear Travel Suspension tweeter with a vented housing is designed to cut distortion and keep detail.
- + Cerametallic woofers and Tractrix ports target efficient output and cleaner bass, in furniture-grade finishes.
Trade-offs
- - A larger center channel than the RP-450C it replaces, so measure your shelf or stand before buying.
- - Needs an AV receiver with enough amplification and is priced in the mid-premium band, well above entry-level center speakers.
